Objetivos

To train researchers with creation and participation capacity in innovation and development processes. To provide the professionals that are not linked to design with tools that could complement their training in scientific, technical and humanistic fields, in order to improve their professional profile and their opportunities. To offer professionals linked to design an interaction space with other agents of the innovation processes with the objective of working in multidisciplinary teams. To approach innovation in a broad sense, including their technological, social, creative, productive and business model aspects. To promote the creation of exchange and collaboration spaces and events amongst all the agents linked to the innovation processes. To provide the organizations, companies and governments with the exploration of new systems, products, services and experiences through academic projects related to innovation.

Postgraduate Diploma in Coolhunting. Design and Global Trends
IINTRODUCTION AND CONTEXT
  • This module welcomes students to the trends world, to its terminology and to the concepts driving the sector.

RESEARCH METHODOLOGY AND TOOLS
  • This module helps people with no experience in this field to develop skills, and also serves as a refresher course for those who have been involved in research projects. Includes ethnography, visual anthropology, sociology, market research, net-hunting and other strategic research areas.

LATEST TRENDS
  • Presents cases and initiatives from professionals who have to deal with trends in various industries and pop culture.

URBAN INMERSIONS
  • On-site work in various cities in order to develop perception and research abilities.

BUSINESS TOOLS
  • They help students to learn the relationships between trends and business from the point of view of clients and companies. Promotes the dialogue between the researcher and the client.

INTRODUCTION TO DESIGN THINKING
  • Allows students to connect research skills with collaborative and innovative thought philosophies.

RESEARCH PROJECT
  • Tutored by the programme teaching staff and the companies associated with MIDI.

Postgraduate Diploma in Innovation and Design Thinking
INTRODUCTION AND CONTEXT
  • An overview of the Design Thinking world, the methods used and the key concepts. Making up work teams and project brief.

DT CENTRAL WORKSHOP
  • This is the collaborative venue where work teams pose, develop and apply the innovation proposals resulting from their research. Debate and experimentation space.

THEMATIC SEMINARS AND FORUMS
  • With professors, tutors and guest lecturers who offer technical and academic support to the work done in the central workshop and other workshops.

INNOVATION WORKSHOPS
  • Focused on specific areas of Design Thinking processes, they help students to develop their skills in designing services, experiences, prototypes, tests and co-creation activities. These workshops are hosted by guest lecturers, groups and practitioners in the innovation sector.

BUSINESS TOOLS
  • They help students to understand the networks among innovation, production and business, from the client’s point of view.
